John Burke Racing trains horses for the National Hunt, which includes point-to-points, bumpers, hurdles, and steeplechase. In all these types of races, the horses jump; however, the height of the jump varies based on the type of race. John Burke Racing has also trained horses to race on the flat. Horses typically race over a shorter distance (and possibly a different track surface) in this type of racing. Since they don’t jump either, flat racing can require your horse to have a different skillset than a jump horse.
